This is only implemented for x86. It's called very rarely, and so

b65272e7f1 arch: Remove "process()" from the Decoder interface.
This method was only ever an implementation detail on ARM and x86, the
only places it actually did anything. Remove it from the other decoders,
and also make it protected on x86 to remove confusion.

29950b81ce arch: Promote instReady to the base InstDecoder class.
Move the instDone flag, and the instReady function which was
consistently implemented just to return it, to the base InstDecoder
class. This flag can still be accessed easily from the subclasses, but
now it can be retrieved with just an InstDecoder pointer without a
virtual function call.

974a47dfb9 misc: Adopt the gem5 namespace
Apply the gem5 namespace to the codebase.

Some anonymous namespaces could theoretically be removed,
but since this change's main goal was to keep conflicts
at a minimum, it was decided not to modify much the
general shape of the files.

A few missing comments of the form "// namespace X" that
occurred before the newly added "} // namespace gem5"
have been added for consistency.

std out should not be included in the gem5 namespace, so
they weren't.

ProtoMessage has not been included in the gem5 namespace,
since I'm not familiar with how proto works.

Regarding the SystemC files, although they belong to gem5,
they actually perform integration between gem5 and SystemC;
therefore, it deserved its own separate namespace.

Files that are automatically generated have been included
in the gem5 namespace.

The .isa files currently are limited to a single namespace.
This limitation should be later removed to make it easier
to accomodate a better API.

Regarding the files in util, gem5:: was prepended where
suitable. Notice that this patch was tested as much as
possible given that most of these were already not
previously compiling.

213c9186de arch, cpu: Make the decoder width a property of the decoder.
In this context, the decoder width is the number of bytes that are fed
into the decoder at once. This is frequently the same as the size of an
instruction, but in instructions with occasionally variable instruction
sizes (ARM, RISCV), or extremely variable instruction sizes (x86) there
may be no relation.

Rather than determining the amount of data to feed to the decoder based
on a MachInst type defined by each ISA, this new interface adds some new
properties to the base InstDecoder class each arch specific decoder
inherits from. These are the size of the incoming buffer, a pointer to
wherever that data should end up, and a mask for masking a PC value so
it aligns with the instruction size.

These values are filled in by a templated InstDecoder constructor which
is templated based on what would have historically been the MachInst
type.

Because the "moreBytes" method would historically accept a parameter of
type MachInst, this parameter has also been eliminated. Now, the
decoder's parent object should use the pointer and size values to fill
in the buffer moreBytes reads. Then when moreBytes is called, it just
uses the buffer without having to show what its type is externally.

3f67faec83 arch,dev,gpu-compute,sim: Rename isa_traits.hh page_size.hh.
The only thing left in isa_traits.hh are two constants, one for the
number of bytes in a page, and one for how far to shift an address to
get the page number. To make it clear that this is the only thing
isa_traits.hh should be used for from this point forward (until it is
entirely eliminated), this change renames it to the much less generic
page_size.hh.

Also, because isa_traits.hh used to have *much* more stuff in it, it was
included in a lot of places it didn't need to be. This change also
clears out all these legacy includes while updating the actually needed
ones to the new name.

68b6f9c8a1 riscv: Fix bugs with RISC-V decoder and detailed CPUs
This patch fixes some bugs that were missed with the changes to the
decoder that enabled compatibility with compressed instructions. In
order to accommodate speculation with variable instruction widths, a few
assertions in decoder had to be changed to returning faults as the
specification describes should normally happen. The rest of these
assertions will be changed in a later patch.

7e6a35374a arch-riscv: Add support for compressed extension RV64C
This patch adds compatibility with the 64-bit compressed extension to
the RISC-V ISA, RV64C. Current versions of the toolchain may use
compressed instructions in glibc by default, which can only be
overridden by recompiling the entire toolchain (simply adding
"-march=rv64g" or "-march=rv64imafd" when compiling a binary is not
sufficient to use uncompressed instructions in glibc functions in the
binary).

e76bfc8764 arch: [Patch 1/5] Added RISC-V base instruction set RV64I
First of five patches adding RISC-V to GEM5. This patch introduces the
base 64-bit ISA (RV64I) in src/arch/riscv for use with syscall emulation.
The multiply, floating point, and atomic memory instructions will be added
in additional patches, as well as support for more detailed CPU models.
The loader is also modified to be able to parse RISC-V ELF files, and a
"Hello world\!" example for RISC-V is added to test-progs.

Patch 2 will implement the multiply extension, RV64M; patch 3 will implement
the floating point (single- and double-precision) extensions, RV64FD;
patch 4 will implement the atomic memory instructions, RV64A, and patch 5
will add support for timing, minor, and detailed CPU models that is missing
from the first four patches (such as handling locked memory).

[Removed several unused parameters and imports from RiscvInterrupts.py,
RiscvISA.py, and RiscvSystem.py.]
[Fixed copyright information in RISC-V files copied from elsewhere that had
ARM licenses attached.]
[Reorganized instruction definitions in decoder.isa so that they are sorted
by opcode in preparation for the addition of ISA extensions M, A, F, D.]
[Fixed formatting of several files, removed some variables and
instructions that were missed when moving them to other patches, fixed
RISC-V Foundation copyright attribution, and fixed history of files
copied from other architectures using hg copy.]
[Fixed indentation of switch cases in isa.cc.]
[Reorganized syscall descriptions in linux/process.cc to remove large
number of repeated unimplemented system calls and added implmementations
to functions that have received them since it process.cc was first
created.]
[Fixed spacing for some copyright attributions.]
[Replaced the rest of the file copies using hg copy.]
[Fixed style check errors and corrected unaligned memory accesses.]
